Frequently Asked Questions About MyStateMLS's IDX

**If you are a member and need answers to specific account questions like “how do I change my password”, visit the My State MLS Member FAQ / Forms and Resources page.**

MyStateMLS’s IDX feed provides either your own listings back to you or any listings from your state within MyStateMLS’s internal database. In other words, you also have the ability to show any of our 100,000 members’ listings on your site so long as they are licensed in your state.

MyStateMLS IDX feeds are included in most office accounts but are not included in individual accounts. This means that for many who use our platform, additional payment is required for this feature.

This is a great question that should be asked to one of our IDX specialists. As a Nationwide MLS we have varying numbers of members within each state. If you are licensed in one of our less popular states you may only get a hundred listings, where if you are licensed in our popular states you can expect thousands.

We offer 3 different syndication options: a Raw RETS data feed, an iFrame Plugin, and a HTML Plugin.

Raw RETS data feed – This is the most common and easiest option for users. This will require the use of a web developer or IDX Vendor (ihomefinder, ihouseweb, elmstreet technologies). Data is accessed in a raw RETS (Real Estate Transaction Standard) format and requires the manipulation of the raw data into a usable interface. This is the cheapest of the 3 options, but may also require the member to pay the IDX vendor as well. Since a vendor is typically involved, this feature offers the most customization

iFrame Plugin – This is our easiest to use IDX solution, but is limited in its flexibility. It is a one size fits all type option, where there is no customization. It just takes the search from the MLS and allows the user to add it to their site.

HTML Plugin – This is a more advanced option than our iFrame solution. It offers multiple ways to implement searches onto a member website and can also be mocked up to better match the style of the member’s website. Because of this, it is best that the member has web knowledge or is using a web developer to handle their site.

Listings can be searched by map location and/or criteria and listings can be added to a report which can be printed, saved or emailed to your clients. Professional Search is powered by REALTOR.com.
